Jhanak denies this and asks for Arshi’s trust. Arshi expresses her disappointment, reminding Jhanak that she trusted her and is now facing these challenges. When Aniruddha asks Jhanak to go to her room, she insists that he cannot go out alone, reminding him of his promise to follow her advice. Chotan offers to take Arshi home, but she refuses and leaves on her own.
Laal comments that Jhanak is different from any girl he has ever seen, while Shubhankar ominously predicts that Anirudh might one day humiliate her in public. Bipasha asks Anirudh if Jhanak is blackmailing him, and Tanuja asks him to tell her what’s on his mind. Despite their concerns, Anirudh insists that he is fine. He expresses concern about Arshi travelling alone at night, but eventually leaves after Jhanak advises him to prioritise his well-being.

Srishti calls him shameless, predicting that he will never find happiness. Despite her anger, Arshi asks Srishti to stop scolding her, saying that it is over and she is free to live her life the way she wants. Battling with guilt, Anirudh vows to fulfil his responsibilities towards Arshi, but Srishti reminds him that the family can support him instead of her.

As emotions run high, Bipasha laments the situation, declaring that they can no longer face society. Tanuja reflects on how Arshi was the ideal daughter-in-law, comparing her to Jhanak, whom she accuses of disrespecting everyone. The two plot to evict Jhanak from the house before Anirudh’s return.
Vinayak, addressing Anirudh, suggests that he can honour his responsibilities towards Jhanak without abandoning Arshi. He reminds Anirudh that Arshi’s career suffered because of him. However, Arshi clarifies that their marriage was incomplete and unregistered, leaving Anirudh technically single. She urges her parents to accept the reality and puts the blame directly on Jhanak.
Vinayak promises his support to Arshi, while also saying that they are waiting for the court’s verdict and that Srishti will have to face the consequences for her wrongdoings. He questions Anirudh’s behaviour with Arshi and asks why she has to suffer. Anirudh admits his love for Jhanak, prompting Arshi to declare that she will remain civilized if he wishes. Anirudh apologises and leaves, burdened.

Laal advises Tanuja not to make any hasty decisions, but Bipasha guesses that Anirudh will go looking for Jhanak. She insists that they uncover the whole truth.
The next day, Aditya warns Anirudh that Jhanak’s safety is not guaranteed in Kolkata. He suggests that Kul Bhushan’s attitude may change after the wedding. Anirudh insists on Jhanak’s right to fight for her place. Hearing this, Jhanak enters the room, clearly affected by the conversation.
