Anupama Welcomes the New Year with Family Unity and Forgiveness
In today’s episode, Anupama kicks off the New Year by wishing her family a joyful year ahead and encouraging them to come together for a special prayer. The Shah family, including Ansh, Mahi, Ishani, Pari, Leela, Pakhi, and Paritosh, reflect on the events of the previous night. Anupama also sends New Year’s wishes to Gauri, Kaveri, and even coffee! Meanwhile, Prem seeks forgiveness from Anupama and remains steadfast, choosing not to leave until she pardons him. Despite his persistence, Anupama chooses to ignore him.
As the Shah family gathers, Anupama emphasizes the importance of a fresh start, sharing her hopes for a more harmonious year. Pakhi humorously remarks that Anupama will continue to “lecture” them all year, but Anupama suggests they focus on celebrating the New Year and temporarily setting aside any conflicts. Ansh, Ishani, Pakhi, and Mahi ask if Anupama is really going to be lenient, and she assures them that she won’t be scolding anyone today. Paritosh, however, jokes that he will continue to discipline Pari.
The Shah children humorously point out that what they did while intoxicated is no different from what they witness from the family daily. Pakhi claims Adhya has influenced Ansh’s behavior, but Anupama redirects the family’s attention to a peaceful start to the year. She suggests they avoid fights for the day and focus on togetherness, which the family agrees to.
Anupama introduces a traditional shell game, explaining its significance as a way to bring everyone together. She prays sincerely, with Paritosh lending a hand. Prem, however, remains outside, watching the festivities from afar, celebrating the New Year alone as he waits for forgiveness. Ansh, Mahi, Ishani, and Pari eventually apologize to Anupama for any trouble caused, and Mahi clarifies that Rahi was unaware that their drinks had been spiked. Anupama accepts their apologies and reminds them not to repeat the same mistakes. As a gesture of goodwill, she gifts crowns to Ansh, Mahi, Ishani, and Pari, though Rahi initially refuses.
In an effort to keep distractions at bay, Anupama asks everyone to hand over their phones. Dolly asks Leela if Anupama’s joy stems from New Year’s excitement or if there is another reason behind her upbeat spirit. Pakhi accuses Anupama of overreacting, while Paritosh claims she’s trying to win the Shah kids over. Kinjal, however, speculates that Anupama’s goal is to bond with the younger generation, not separate them from their parents.
The Shah family indulges in a series of games, lightheartedly competing with each other. Eventually, Prem requests forgiveness again, and this time, Anupama decides to let go of her grievances. Paritosh, Pakhi, and Dolly express frustration, but Anupama stands firm, believing that everyone deserves a second chance. Prem then joins the family for the New Year’s celebration, participating in the games and joining in on the fun. Anupama savors the rare moment of unity, appreciating the family’s togetherness, even if just for a day.
Precap: Rahi resists celebrating Bhai Dooj, expressing his struggles, and Ishani comments on his troubles. Anupama confides that Rahi is carrying a heavy emotional burden. Tensions rise as Ansh warns Prem to stay away from Rahi, leading to a conflict between the two.
