Episode Recap: Aniruddh, Nutan, and the Mysteries of Jhanak
The episode begins with a tense moment at the temple, as the priest reminds Nutan that she was supposed to bring her husband to pray. However, Aniruddh steps in, explaining that Nutan is Jhanak’s sister, not Jhanak herself. This clarification doesn’t settle things, though—Nutan seems confused, and the priest grows emotional upon hearing that Jhanak has passed. Nutan suggests they continue with the prayers, but Aniruddh feels haunted, as if Jhanak were right there.
As the rituals progress, Nutan expresses a sense of fulfillment, finally able to perform puja alongside Aniruddh as she’d always wished. But while she feels at peace, Aniruddh is uneasy, struggling to accept that Nutan is not Jhanak. This inner conflict only intensifies as the episode unfolds.
Meanwhile, Arundhati speaks to Anjana about Choton’s fear of commitment. Anjana points out that even Apu has married, but Choton hesitates. She mentions Mrinalini’s decision to hold off marrying Choton until he completes his education. Anjana resolves to speak with Mrinalini about this.
Back at the temple, Nutan offers Aniruddh prasad, but he declines, explaining that he is fasting until he completes his puja. The priest then shares a mystical belief: that he senses Jhanak is still alive, implying that a reunion between Aniruddh and Jhanak may happen one day. After completing the puja, Aniruddh joins Nutan, and they exchange prasad. A moment of connection follows as they apply tika on each other’s foreheads, each experiencing an intense, almost spiritual recognition of Jhanak in Nutan. Aniruddh, who learns Nutan took a taxi, insists on giving her a ride home.
Elsewhere, Bipasha shares her suspicions with Laal and Tanuja, questioning if Nutan could actually be Jhanak. When Arundhati overhears, Laal fills her in on Nutan’s recent exposure of Kul Bhushan. Tanuja insists that Nutan is not Jhanak, but Bipasha suspects a plot for revenge. Choton then defends Jhanak’s character, with Mrinalini supporting him, reminding everyone to respect the memory of the deceased. Arundhati intervenes, highlighting the emotional toll Jhanak’s memory has taken on Aniruddh, who has landed in the hospital three times over her.
As Aniruddh drives Nutan, they encounter Arshi, who questions Nutan’s presence. Aniruddh explains he is just giving Nutan a lift, but Arshi is suspicious, mentioning her own involvement in anniversary preparations. She slyly hints that Aniruddh’s temple visit may relate to past interactions between them. Nutan, shocked, listens as Arshi recalls an implied promise Aniruddh made to her. Arshi then shockingly claims they consummated their relationship the previous night and that she plans to start a family. Despite the tension, Nutan politely wishes Arshi well and leaves.
Later, Anjana brings up marriage to Choton and Mrinalini again. Choton reminds her that he must fulfill Mrinalini’s conditions, including saving money and completing his education before they marry.
As the episode draws to a close, Arshi returns home, where Srishti notices her agitation. Arshi initially brushes her off, but Srishti emphasizes the importance of communication in relationships. Meanwhile, Vinayak subtly suggests that he has something significant planned for Srishti. She hopes the upcoming family visit will be an opportunity to discuss values beyond finances, but Vinayak hints at an impending “blast” that Srishti won’t soon forget.
Precap: Arshi stirs the pot by revealing she saw Aniruddh and Nutan together at the temple, prompting Brij Bhushan to remind Nutan that she cannot marry Aniruddh, even if Arshi were to leave him.
