Gujarat Titans eyeing a comeback
Gujarat Titans, who reached the finals consecutively in 2022 and 2023, finished eighth last season. This time under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, the team will try to improve its performance. Shreyas Iyer, who was the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders last year and was successful in leading the team to the title, will try to repeat the same feat for Punjab Kings this time. Apart from Iyer, Punjab’s batting has explosive batsmen like Josh Inglis, Prabhsimran Singh, Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell.
The all-rounder players of the team include Azmatullah Umarzai, Marco Jensen, Shashank Singh and Mushir Khan. In bowling, Arshdeep Singh, Lockie Ferguson, Kuldeep Sen and Yash Thakur will lead the fast attack, while Yuzvendra Chahal and Harpreet Brar will take charge of the spin department.
