Episode Update: Suman’s Gujiya Challenge and Family Surprises
The episode kicks off with a dispute between Suman and Chandrakant regarding a sweet treat, gujiya. Suman firmly states that it isn’t suitable for Chandrakant to serve his sugary gujiya to Gitanjali Devi. Instead, she’s specially prepared sugar-free gujiya for her mother-in-law, leaving the family surprised at her thoughtfulness.
To resolve the debate, Suman suggests that the entire family will taste both versions of gujiya and decide the winner. First up is Devika, who is asked to sample the treats. One by one, Suman and Chandrakant serve gujiya to everyone. Akhil is the first to taste but initially hesitates to share his opinion. Under Suman’s persistent encouragement, Akhil eventually declares that Suman’s gujiya is superior to his father’s.
As the tasting continues, the family discovers that Suman has crafted unique flavors of gujiya for each family member, tailored to their preferences. Her thoughtful approach wins her praise from everyone, leaving Chandrakant and Devika especially impressed. One by one, each person voices their thoughts, with Teerth proudly declaring that Suman’s gujiya is indeed the best. Finally, Chandrakant himself tastes the gujiya, realizing the extra care Suman put into every bite, symbolically stuffing each gujiya with the family’s happiness.
Moved by the experience, Chandrakant hands the symbolic family coin back to Suman, marking her as the rightful head of the family. Overwhelmed with emotion, Suman graciously accepts this responsibility once more. Teerth celebrates her victory, and although Chandrakant acknowledges her culinary skills as superior, he humorously asserts that it’s only in gujiya-making. Meanwhile, Devika and Kritika look on, feeling envious of Suman’s triumph.
In Suman’s maternal family, her mother and relatives reflect on recent events. While they accept Suman as part of their family, they still disapprove of her selling street food. However, Malini proposes an idea: since they have all the ingredients and knowledge needed, they could continue Suman’s street food business themselves, making chaats to satisfy their customers. Together, they decide to prepare the chaat as a family effort.
Later, the Lakshmi puja begins, and Suman warmly invites each woman in the family to participate in the prayer, emphasizing that their unity in prayer will strengthen the family. Despite her reluctance, Devika is encouraged by Suman to join in. Devika tries to involve Kritika, but Suman gently reminds her that Kritika isn’t technically a member of the family, so she cannot join this particular gathering.
Through a video call, Suman instructs her mother on how to handle the street food stall. Although she’s reluctant to have them work on the street, she hopes that Chandrakant will eventually grant her the freedom to run the stall herself. Just as the family gathers, Chandrakant calls everyone together to announce his decision. The episode wraps up, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating Chandrakant’s final call.
