Suman Faces Off with Devika and Chandrakant Over Her Business
The episode begins with Suman caught red-handed by Devika and her father-in-law, Chandrakant, as she sells fast food in front of Chandrakant’s shop. When confronted, Suman insists she hasn’t done anything wrong, pleading with her father-in-law to hear her side of the story. She apologizes to her customers and goes inside with Devika and Chandrakant to discuss her small business venture.
Once inside, Devika immediately begins to berate Suman, warning her that she might never be allowed back into the Mittal household if she continues like this. Suman, however, stands her ground, expressing her determination to grow her business no matter what it takes. This bold stance angers Chandrakant, who is surprised by Suman’s confidence.
Suman again asks her father-in-law to hear her out, but Chandrakant is too furious to give her time to explain. Meanwhile, Akhil receives a call from Teerth, who is anxious to know the latest developments. Teerth grows more concerned as Akhil describes the tension inside. Bhumi also approaches Akhil, worried about Suman’s fate, and Akhil suggests that Chandrakant may take harsh action against her.
When Chandrakant finally questions Suman, demanding to know why she broke her promise, Suman explains her stance. She admits to agreeing not to sell fast food in the Sarafa area, but her current stall is located directly in front of the family shop, not inside Sarafa itself. She further claims that Devika had even suggested she set up a stall elsewhere. Devika, however, denies this accusation, feeling cornered and embarrassed. Suman continues to press her point, insisting she’s only following her own path while honoring the family name.
Chandrakant refuses to listen to what he considers Suman’s “excuses,” but she then shifts her approach, drawing a comparison between her efforts and Chandrakant’s past sacrifices. She reminds him how he took responsibility for the entire family when no one else could, and tells him that his success has been her inspiration. Suman’s goal, she emphasizes, is to become a businesswoman as successful as Chandrakant himself.
Suman adds that her family could face hardship if she abandons her business. She had promised her late father that she would support her loved ones as long as she could. At this point, Teerth enters, taking a stand beside Suman. She insists that she doesn’t expect any extra financial support from Chandrakant for her maternal family, arguing that it’s not his responsibility to bear her family’s burdens. Nevertheless, Chandrakant remains adamant about not allowing Suman to operate a stall in front of his shop.
In a last attempt to convince him, Suman proposes that her street food business could even benefit the Mittal family business. She explains that customers drawn to her stall might also become patrons of the Mittal store. Additionally, she offers Chandrakant a business partnership, promising him a 25% share of her 15% profit as a gesture of goodwill.
As the episode draws to a close, Suman’s fate hangs in the balance, and the family conflict over her entrepreneurial aspirations remains unresolved.
